Vintage conditions:
Rain during the growing season caused vigorous growth and high disease pressure with colder spring temperatures and late flowering. Cooler conditions in early summer led to the harvest commencing late by up to two weeks on early cultivars. Ensuing warmer temperatures however brought the vintage back on schedule, followed by some cold spells that resulted in a longer ripening period. Overall the quality is better than and developing well in the cellar.
Wine description:
An elegant red wine that delivers black cherry, blackberry and plum flavour. The wine is soft, smooth and vibrant with upfront fruit on the palate complimented by hints of spice.
Maturation
This wine had one to two months of wood maturation.
Serving suggestion:
Enjoy on its own or with meaty pizza, pasta dishes or salad topped with cheese and cured meat.
Cellaring potential:
Enjoy this wine up to two years from vintage.

CHENIN BLANC

Wine description:
This lively and fresh Chenin blanc shows prominent aromas of melon, pineapple and guava with underlying hints of tropical and floral characters. On the palate, the wine is juicy, round and flavourful with a viscous and lingering finish.’

Wine description:
This vibrant wine shows an aroma of grapefruit, orange blossom, and green fig with hints of honeycomb and flint on the nose. The palate is well rounded with zippy acidity and a seamless, lingering finish.
