Robert’s Rock
CHENIN BLANC CHARDONNAY
WINE OF ORIGIN – Western Cape
Vintage conditions:
Rain during the growing season caused vigorous growth with colder spring temperatures and late flowering. Cooler conditions in early summer led to the harvest commencing late by up to two weeks on early cultivars. Ensuring warmer temperatures however brought the vintage back on schedule, followed by some cold spells that resulted in a longer ripening period.
Varietals:
60% Chenin Blanc, 40% Chardonnay
Wine description:
This vibrant wine shows aromas of grapefruit, orange, blossom, and green fig with hints of honeycomb and flint on the nose. The palate is well rounded, with zippy acidity and a seamless, lingering finish.
